- Jesus told these Jews âIf God were your Father, you would love me (v. 42).â Our love for Jesus is a mark of discipleship. As we saw earlier, there are several âifâ statements in this passage that connect to discipleship. Which ones are easy to practice and which ones are difficult to live out?
