Overview
Stonebridge Church has a longstanding partnership with Pastor Bernard Millard and the Chemnitz FeG church that he leads. The partnership started in 2006 and for over a 15 years we have sent teams to Chemnitz and have received teams at Stonebridge to nurture and grow our partnership. This summer, we are sending a team of 8 high school students and 3 adults to come alongside our Chemnitz FeG brothers and sisters to encourage them, share in their work, strengthen our partnership, and see what God is doing in Chemnitz Germany. A bonus is we’ll have David Millard (Pastor Bernard’s son) with us from February through August to help equip, join in, and debrief when we return!
Who's going?
The team includes the following, from left to right in the team pic: David Millard, Zander Johnson, Steve Duffy, Kaitlyn Krohse, Carlee Deam, Maddy Davis, Paisley Knight, Natalie Krohse, John Louzek, Abbie Krohse, Ethan Adkisson

When are we going?
The trip will be from June 19 – July 3.
What will we be doing?
Our primary goal is to come alongside the Chemnitz FeG church, both the main church and the church plant called “The Blessing”, in various ways. This will include getting to know each church and their unique ministry context, growing a current and historical cultural awareness, assisting with planned outreach and serving activities, prayer walks, and other various planned activities. Additionally, we will worship with both churches, spending time deepening our relationship with those we spend time with.
When are the team meeting dates?
- Pre-trip preparation: Feb 23, Mar 9, Mar 23, Apr 6, Apr 27, May 18, Jun 1
- Post-trip debrief: tenatively Jul 13 (12:30-2pm)
What will the trip cost?
The estimated cost for the trip is $2,700 per person. This includes airfare, lodging, food, local transportation, and sightseeing. This does not include the cost of a passport. Each participant is contributing at least 10% of the cost personally. We are fundraising through support letters as well as engaging in a few team-related fundraisers.
